The First Oncology Appointment
The plan: Today they did blood work as well as a biopsy of my uterus. They are looking for specific granulosa cell markers as well as any uterine cancer.
Friday I will have a CT and an ultrasound to look for any other signs that the cancer has spread.
Overall we feel really good about the plan and our team. We obviously don’t have any answers from today but the level of care was phenomenal. There was a lot to talk about and explore but we don’t at all feel overwhelmed. We are confident that God has us in the right place and that he already has next steps planned. And even though we don’t know what those are yet- He is a trustworthy God. All things are for our good and His glory.
Thank you so much for your prayers and messages today. We probably won’t have more results until early next week.
My doctor did call me a beast because I did not flinch during the biopsy. She said she has never had anyone handle it as well as I did. Soooo I’ll be riding that high for a while.
So in the meantime Joel and I will just be hanging out in the armpit of Texas and finding indoor activities only! And I’ll be working on my new embroidery project because Joel told me I need to find something to do with my hands and I am actually kind of loving it. Shocking- I know.
Again- Thank you so much for the outpouring of love and support! Love you all!
.
I continue to pray.
